It’s well known that Dr Berkowitz is a keen innovator in advanced cosmetic medical techniques. He was one of the first UK cosmetic doctors to pioneer the use of Vaser Liposelection as an alternative to radical liposuction surgery, and now Dr Berkowitz is a leading international trainer of other cosmetic medical doctors. The Secret RF device is technically known as a “fractional ablative radiofrequency device”. It can be used for a variety of skin conditions and ailments; from reducing sun damage, scarring, lines and wrinkles, to very effective skin tightening and stimulating new collagen in and under the skin.
Secret RF is medical device that delivers bipolar radio frequencies energies to a selected depth under the skin. The energy is delivered through some exceptionally fine gold plated micro needles. Once the needles are through the skin the device will deliver a preselected amount of radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen production. The operating Doctor can select from a wide range of modalities so that each treatment is tailored to the needs of that patient’s requirements. Secret RF goes way beyond traditional manual micro-needling devices.
The beauty of Secret RF is that the radio frequencies can be delivered precisely to any depth of the epidermis, because the penetration depth of the micro needles can be finely controlled. This means the RF energy is focussed exactly where treatment is needed, thereby preventing damage to any surrounding tissue. As a consequence, healing time is quick compared with many other traditional micro-needing or skin rejuvenation treatments.

With Secret RF healing time is minimal, and may be limited to a few hours of redness which soon settles. However for some patients who require more intensive treatments the redness may last for up to 48 hours. The benefits will last a long time and acne scarring will be permanently improved.
For someone in their 50s Dr Berkowitz would typically recommend 1 treatment a year to compensate for the natural ageing process. However, Secret RF isn’t an instant fix.
