TREATMENT OVERVIEW
Carboxytherapy is also very useful to improve cellulite, soften scars, and to improve the appearance of stretch marks in a natural and non-toxic manner.
Completely natural and non-toxic, carbon dioxide gas (CO2) is used to stimulate the circulation and the production of new collagen for younger and firmer skin. Carboxytherapy for skin rejuvenation is a very well-established medical treatment. The injection of CO2 has been used since the 1930s to treat leg ulcers, burn victims and amputees, to augment and stimulate the healing process.
Medical grade carbon dioxide gas (CO2) is infused just under the surface of the skin. In response to this, the body floods oxygenated, nutrient-rich blood to the treatment area. This stimulates new collagen growth and has a beneficial effect on the overall tone and appearance of the skin.
Carboxytherapy is used to brighten and firm the under-eye contour, tighten loose skin and is a wonderful treatment for helping to fade stretch marks. When CO2 is injected deeper into the fatty tissue, it can be used to treat cellulite and other stubborn localized deposits in the thighs, buttocks, hips, knees and abdomen, improving skin contour and texture.
Carboxytherapy treatment for skin rejuvenation can be used absolutely anywhere in the body.
How long does each carboxytherapy treatment take?
Typically, each carboxytherapy session t takes up to 30 minutes, depending on the area to be treated.
Is carboxytherapy safe?
First, you’ll have a consultation with a medical practitioner to ensure your fit for treatment. The discomfort is minimised because the CO2 gas is heated during the procedure and all unwanted air is drained and the gas is quickly absorbed by the body. Carboxytherapy has been used safely and effectively on thousands of patients worldwide to treat a whole range of skin conditions.
Can all skin types be treated with carboxytherapy?
Carboxytherapy can treat all skin types safely and there’s little discomfort or downtime experienced.
How many carboxytherapy sessions will I need?
The amount of carboxytherapy treatment sessions you will require will depend on your individual needs and we will devise a treatment programme to suit your needs. Typically, patients have between six and 12 carboxytherapy sessions over a period of months.
Patients typically notice a significant improvement within two to six months as collagen production is stimulated.
How much does carboxytherapy cost?
The cost of carboxytherapy can vary from £120 up to £250 per session depending upon time, area and complexity of the treatment.
