What are Profhilo Injections?
Profhilo is a new anti-ageing cosmetic injectable treatment made of hyaluronic acid gel. It boosts collagen production, gradually plumping the skin back up for a youthful appearance. The combination of the Profhilo ingredients applied to targeted injection points is what makes Profhilo work so well on all skin types.

The consultation is an essential part of the patient journey as it gives us the opportunity to discuss your objectives and the outcome you’re hoping to achieve. We will talk you through the procedure or treatment plan, clearly explain any possible risks and the results you can expect, as well as answer all of your questions.
3. Your Treatment
Procedures at Wimpole Aesthetics are carried out under the direction of our medical director Dr Joshua Berkowitz and his team. We aim to deliver practical, safe and effective medical aesthetic alternatives to cosmetic surgery whilst always respecting a patient’s privacy, dignity and confidentiality.
4. Post Treatment
Our care and support continues after you leave the clinic. You are provided with comprehensive aftercare advice appropriate to the treatment you have received and we welcome patients getting in touch if they have any questions regarding their experience and results.

Am I suitable for a Profhilo treatment?
Profhilo is a fantastic treatment for anyone that’s started to notice the visible signs of ageing and are searching for a subtle all-over skin rejuvenation. It can also deliver dramatic results for older patients, but if there are deep folds or severe loss of skin elasticity, then there may be more appropriate treatments we can recommend.
It is not suitable for patients that have bleeding or immune compromised disorders.
Are there any risks to Profhilo?
It is an injectable treatment, so you may have some bruising and swelling at the injection site as well as a small risk of infection, allergic reaction and nerve damage.
How does Profhilo work?
After a certain age, collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid levels begin to deplete. These are the components of the skin that give it its youthful firmness and plumpness and most skin ageing concerns are a result of their loss.
Profhilo disperses through the dermis, stimulating collagen production. Over the following weeks, you’ll skin will start to look naturally more hydrated, tighter and smoother.
What areas can Profhilo treat?
As well as the face, Profhilo can restore a more youthful appearance to skin on the neck, décolletage and hands.
When will I see the results of my Profhilo treatment?
Results vary depending on the individual. We recommend two sessions, spaced four weeks apart and some patients can see an improvement in their skin tone after the very first session whereas others will notice a difference after their second treatment. The full effects of Profhilo are usually evident between eight and ten weeks after your first treatment.
How long does Profhilo last?
Results can last six months and we recommend maintenance treatments after that.
